Welcome to Swedish Dialogue, the official digital events and thought leadership platform of The Swedish Knowledge & Research Centre (SKRC). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Swedish Dialogue website, including all content, functionality, and services offered on or through https://swedish-dialogue.com (the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

The Swedish Dialogue Platform

Swedish Dialogue is a digital space for broadcasting webinars, panel discussions, academic interviews, and virtual conferences across diverse research fields. It offers both free and ticketed virtual events, facilitates online registrations and payments, and maintains an archive of recorded content.

User Accounts

a. Account Creation: Some features require account creation. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information.

b. Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activities that occur under your account.

c. Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for violating these Terms.

User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Violate laws or regulations.
  • Harass, defame, or harm others.
  • Impersonate individuals or misrepresent affiliations.
  • Upload harmful code or malware.
  • Send spam or unauthorized promotions.

Content Submission and User Content

  • Your Content: You are responsible for content you post or submit.

  • Moderation: We reserve the right to remove or edit User Content at our discretion.

Intellectual Property Rights

  • SKRC Content: All materials on the Platform are the property of SKRC or its licensors.
  • License to You: You receive a non-exclusive, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.
  • Trademarks: SKRC trademarks may not be used without our written consent.

Event Participation and Ticketing

  • Pre-Contractual Information: Before purchasing a ticket, you will be presented with details about pricing, event content, and refund rights.
  • Registration & Confirmation: A confirmation email is sent upon successful event registration or ticket purchase.
  • Refunds & Cancellations: All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated. Refunds are processed per the event-specific refund policy.
  • Digital Content & Cancellation Rights: In compliance with EU consumer law, you acknowledge that once digital content is accessed, you waive your right of withdrawal.
  • Platform Functionality Guarantee: In the event of technical issues affecting access to paid events or recordings, users may contact SKRC for redress within reasonable timeframes, as per EU consumer protection regulations.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

  • No Warranty: The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties.
  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: SKRC does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the content.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, SKRC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the rest shall remain in effect.
